Description Centric Squared is looking for a Copywriter to join our digital marketing agency.
Hours Part-time, starting on a trial basis at 10+ hours per week with the opportunity to grow quickly to 20+ hours
Location Remote

The ideal candidate must be able to work with multiple clients and write to numerous industries. We are a small, fast-paced marketing agency with priorities that vary day-to-day and require team members to jump from client to client and industry to industry with ease.

Our ideal copywriter will have experience supporting an agency or small business in copywriting and content strategy for various content, including blog posts, emails, social media posts, webpages, and more. The copywriter will be able to write for a broad range of clients.

The copy must be written in our client’s (or agency’s) brand voice across various industries, customers and audiences in a way that translates to performance and measured results. You will be responsible for translating clients’ business objectives from our marketing calendars into copy across various channels, including email, web, and social media, and sharing information in our project management tool. This role involves both coordination and communication with our internal team. A get-the-job-done attitude, keen attention to detail, and strong written communication skills are critical for success in the position.

jobresponsibilities

  • Complete writing assignments across multiple asset types, such as websites, social media posts, blogs, emails, press releases, guides, brochures, etc. on time
  • Write compelling copy that is thoughtfully planned, consistent across multiple channels, meets client expectations, and delivers on goals
  • Thoroughly understand agency client’s target audience, the industry space in which the client is operating, competitors, and trends in the space, to inform your writing
  • Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs
  • Develop clear and engaging content that strategically positions clients in the marketplace according to their goals and manage such content using calendars and other content planning tools
  • Ensure writing is SEO-friendly and optimized for conversion
  • Clearly communicate content calendar and related deliverables to team members
  • Stay on top of content marketing and copywriting trends
  • Participate in the strategic direction of client content, especially copy across channels
  • Be responsive to fast-paced deadlines and quick turnaround times
  • Collaborate with team members (including graphic designers, project managers, account managers, digital specialists, and others) to assess project/client needs
  • Communicate regularly on assigned projects and provide timely status updates

skillsexperience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications (preferred)
  • 3-5 years experience in content marketing or copywriting, preferably with an agency
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
  • Experience with SEO copywriting best practices and familiarity with keyword research
  • Experience writing emails, social media posts, web pages, and other marketing content
  • Passion for writing with an excellent portfolio of work
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently with little direction under tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities as work dictates

$25/hour DOE and approximately 10-20 hours per week (with room to grow).

We always start with a paid trial project. You’ll start at around 10 hours per week and work up to 20+ once you can work more autonomously. This role has lots of growth potential within our agency.
