Our marketing agency is growing and this is an exciting time to join our expanding team! If you are passionate about web development, great at troubleshooting server-related and email-related technical issues, and want to work in a remote virtual team where you’ll be creating solutions for a variety of small business clients, then this may be the job for you!

Our ideal Web Developer has experience in both front-end and back-end web development and server admin. We are looking for someone who can take on a technical web role to support our growing development needs. 

In our small and growing agency, many of our clients are on WordPress or Shopify as well as Hubspot and Klaviyo, and we’re looking for someone with a versatile skillset and background.  Ideally, this candidate will have experience with web development project management and an interest in taking on more responsibility as a team lead managing a team of contractors.

Keys for success in this position are web development, server experience, the ability to troubleshoot, and strong communication skills. 

Hours are expected to be 5 hours per week to start with a potential for more for the right candidate. There is room to grow and evolve in this position as we’re a rapidly growing agency with needs that are often revealed as we scale.

jobqualifications

• Have 3+ years of web development experience
• With knowledge of CSS, HTML, Liquid,  Javascript and PHP
• Are familiar with various WordPress plugins and Shopify apps and able to research to make recommendations to solve certain business needs
• Have experience with website backups, plugin updates, staging environments, and testing protocols
• Know how to configure domains, DNS & SSL, MX records
• Have familiarity with mail server configuration 
• Have experience with hosting platforms (Bluehost, GoDaddy, AWS)
• Can identify web development solutions to address issues or improve processes for clients 
• Have API knowledge and can support and advise on integrations with Hubspot and Klaviyo
• An understanding of Google Search Console & Google Analytics, GA4 setup a bonus
• Have effective verbal and written communication skills 
• Are interested in learning new businesses and web development technologies
• Love what you do and bring a positive attitude
• Are comfortable using (or learning how to use) project management tools
• Want a job that offers flexibility, and the potential to grow as the agency grows
• Know how to manage your time and work independently but also enjoy collaboration
• Comfortable with constructive feedback
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Can pivot client to client easily (that’s agency life!)
