Team Spotlight: Meet Sahil, Our UI/UX Designer

An interview with Sahil, our UI/UX Designer for eCommerce Websites 

Tell us about what you do for Centric Squared.

Answer: I design new sections/pages on websites, and if required, do some custom coding for new functionality required on the site.

What kind of skills do you have to do this role?

Answer: I have knowledge of HTML, CSS, and a bit of PHP. I know the structure/schema of the Shopify stores, so I can create admin manageable sections.

What’s something you’d love to share with others about UI/UX Design?

Answer: I can create a Shopify store in 1 day if required, and I have designed more than 200 Shopify stores so far.

Can you describe the path that led you to Centric Squared?

Answer: I love working with the team, no pressure. Everyone is understanding, sweet, and polite. Weng is always available to jump in and help.

What’s different about working in an agency setting for you?

Answer: Things are managed when you work for an agency, we can plan complete weeks according to the work we have. On the other hand, things are not planned when you are working as a freelancer.

What’s a lesson you’ve learned since joining the team?

Answer: I have learned that it is possible to manage a team with team members in different countries and you can trust people/team. I am really impressed with the team we have here, and everyone is really dedicated.

What advice would you give to someone who is interested in becoming a UI/UX Designer and Developer?

Answer: It is a fun and challenging job. It is really exciting sometimes when you create something out of the box.

When you’re not working, what are you doing?

Answer: I love watching movies and the TV show Shark Tank.

What’s one book on your bookshelf right now? 

Answer: I would love to develop this hobby.
